GFD's Aims & Objectives

Gambia Federation of the Disabled set the following aims and objective in order to promote it's principles.

Focal Point

The Federation shall act as a focal point for the disability sector in the Gambia through the administration, development, promotion, controlling and regulation

Pressure Group

To serve as a pressure group in order to advance the common interests of all Persons with Disabilities

Monitor & Evaluate

To monitor and evaluate the extent to which DPOs meet the needs of Person with Disabilities in their planning and service delivery.

Acquire Resource

To solicit and acquire resources from government, Non-government organization and other international development partners, for itself and its members.

GFD's Chairman

Muhammed Krubally

Muhammed Krubally The current chairman of the Gambia federation of the disabled a visually impaired person, he fought all oaths to get basic education from provincial Gambia and completed his high school at Nusrat one of the best high schools in the country.

Muhammed holds bachelor degree in law from the university of The Gambia.

He served in various capacities in some disabled people organization and rose through the ranks a to the position of the Chairman of GFD.

Apart from been the Chairman of the Gambia federation of the Disabled, Muhammed is the only visually challenge magistrate in The Gambia.
